These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the hosted version of LowFat Apps ("LowFat", "we", "us", or "our") available at this domain. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of the service

LowFat is an open-source, third-party email client that connects to your Google account via OAuth 2.0 and the Gmail API to provide a lightweight interface for reading, composing, and managing email. LowFat is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC or any of its subsidiaries. "Gmail", "Google", and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC.

2. Open source and hosted version

LowFat is primarily an open-source project. The source code is publicly available and you are free to self-host your own instance under the terms of the applicable open-source license. We also offer a hosted version of the service for convenience. These Terms apply only to the hosted version. Self-hosted instances are governed by their respective operators.

The LowFat source code is available under the MIT License as specified in the project repository. The LowFat name and logo are used to identify this project and are not intended to imply any affiliation with Google or any other third party.

THE HOSTED VERSION OF LOWFAT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $0 IF THE SERVICE WAS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
